Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Litia, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Litia. Further use of the Litia program shall serve as acceptance of these Terms of Service.

2. Service Description

Litia is an educational app for children, families, academic researchers, and educators. Litia is designed to function primarily on-device. Optional account, cloud sync, and account-email workflows may be enabled for account operation, billing, legal notices, and recovery.

3. Eligibility and Supervision

Adults (parents, guardians, or educators) are responsible for supervising child use and for account-level actions such as purchases, account linking, and data-management requests. Adult verification may be required for use of Litia through the input of FaceID sign-in or device passcode input.

Litia does not store, save, or transmit camera frames, face images, or video recordings for eye tracking. Camera data is used transiently in memory and discarded immediately after processing.

4. Accounts and Security"

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and linked sign-in providers (Apple or Google). You agree to provide accurate account information and to notify Litia support at litialearning@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised. You should not provide account sign-in credentials to other parties in order to maintain account security.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

If you purchase an auto-renewing subscription, payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings. Subscription cancellations may be conducted from the app. The responsibility falls upon you, the user and/or subscriber, to notify Litia support at litialearning@gmail.com if issues arise with subscription charging, billing, or renewal. Litia does not guarantee a refund or cancellation of subscription for users who reach out to support seeking reimbursement for errors made by the user.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Litia, interfere with normal operation, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer protected components, or use Litia in a way that violates applicable laws. Misuse may include the unauthorized reproduction of Litia's intellectual property, operational logic, education methods, analysis methods, compatibility, functionality, and/or design. Users should use Litia as intended and should refrain from obscene, unlawful, aggressive, harmful, or mischievous conduct in or related to Litia in any capacity. Litia is not liable for external harm to users or other parties while the app is in operation, including injuries sustained while using app, whether due to distraction or other unreasonable and/or irresponsible conduct by any party.

7. Privacy and Children

Your use of Litia is also governed by the Litia Privacy Policy. Litia does not use third-party advertising SDKs, does not sell user data, and is designed to minimize personal data collection. Minimal user information is collected, and no data is collected by Litia from child users. Use of eye tracking does not retain any frame data on the user's account, in Litia's system, or on the device; no images, videos, or audio are taken from any users. Litia runs on a subscription model and does not sell advertisements for any purpose. Litia and its development team are committed to protecting user privacy and complying with applicable privacy laws, including COPPA (United States), GDPR (European Union), and the UK GDPR / Children’s Code. 8. Device Permissions and Features

Litia may request camera access for on-device eye-tracking and uses system text-to-speech for accessibility and learning features. Litia does not record microphone audio input for user speech in any app functionality.

TrueDepth camera functionality is used solely to compute a real-time gaze point on screen for eye tracking similar to existing accessibility eye tracking tools integrated into iOS. No facial geometry, depth maps, or biometric identifiers are stored on-device or transmitted off-device.

9. Subscription Terms

Litia offers auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple's App Store. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. Prices are displayed at the time of purchase. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods except where required by law.

10. Intellectual Property

Litia and its content, design, and software are owned by Litia and/or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to use Litia for personal, educational, or educational use. These licenses are specific to the type of account subscription held by the user. Guest users have a temporary, limited, non-transferable license which exists for the duration that they operate Litia as a guest each usage session.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Litia is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Litia disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Litia is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages to any party, regardless of whether the app is used in relation to damage.

12. Changes and Termination

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Litia after updates means you accept the revised terms. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse, legal compliance, or safety concerns. This agreement is presumed to be fully integrated.
